It's a muslin ruffle wool felt brooch!

I'm so into ruffles lately. There's a pinback on the back. The whole thing is about 3 inches in diameter. Yes, probably has cookie crumbs embroidered into it.

Surprise! It's also a locket. The total hilariousness here is that my friend, Carolyn, does not/will not ever smoke. But she went through a phase in college where if she was ever near a pack of someone else's cigarettes, she'd take one out very nonchalantly and pretend to smoke it. She wouldn't even light it. And I'd always run and find a camera and shoot her picture. So I have a whole "Smoking Carolyn" series.
