I've got birch branches and forstner bits--been making candle sticks--but no hula hoops. Good luck! My only advice--wait for a wind storm then stalk the neighbors with birch trees.
Aaah! Melissa! Are they easy to drill into? Why does one bit cost $18 and a set of 8 bits costs $20? Do you use a hand drill or do you have a drill press? Wondering how hard it will be to drill a hole about an inch in diameter with a hand drill.
Weird, I need hula hoops today too. I think we have a couple of semi broken ones lurking in the yard that will do. Looking forward to hearing about what your hula hoops are going to be involved in!

ReplyDeleteThey might have hula hoops at the dollar store still... I got one about a month ago.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Heather! I have been looking everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI know Walmart has carried them near the bike section. I'm not sure if they have any right now but it's worth looking.
ReplyDeleteThank you!

ReplyDeleteThat is bizarre. I am actually planning to break mine. Well, in one place. Weird!
