What?!

I was just trying to figure out how to make a light that looks like a dandelion puff! Like yesterday! And look!

How did they do it? What is it made of? What are the individual stems stuck to? The description says it's paper! Oooh! I need to touch it! I want it! Jon, we have to go to Minneapolis this weekend. Pleeease!

  1. Everybody wants that until they meet it in person. It is huge! It looks wonderful though... but fills the room....:)

  2. I so need to go to IKEA! Time to get Sara and big girl bed. Let me know if you and Maggie want to take a road trip...

  3. I saw it and touched it just yesterday! It's made of some sort of laminated paper. It's very, very big. At first I was in love, but upon closer inspection it looked a little cheap. Also, could you imagine trying to dust it? Buzzkill, over & out.

  4. I turned the corner in Ikea and gasped so loud when I saw this that everyone turned and looked at me. Its AMAZING. It is big but light at the same time. There's only one spot where it would work in our house and we already have a pretty fabulous vintage teak light there otherwise I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

  5. I just saw this today too! It's huge, but terrific. Our "free" trip to Ikea just to have somewhere warm, indoors where our son could toddle around turned into $50 worth of curtains, meatballs and other Swedish sundries.

  6. It is a monster and the poofs are made of paper as everyone said, but durable paper. All the same, the kids could NOT keep their little fingers away and the display in the store (which has to be brand new) was already showing this "love".

  7. I can see Ikea from my house here in Richfield and visit it often. I bought this very item recently. It is large, but has to be one of the most unique lamps I have ever seen.

    Well worth the price.
