Seahorse pillow prototype

Yay! I'm really happy with how the pillow turned out. Told you I was obsessed with seahorses. It's really big, too. Over 2 feet in length. Dying to see it in a heavier fabric like linen or canvas. All about the texture on this one. Thank you for all the tough love yesterday. It really helped. I think I'll do a little minor tweaking and then work on writing up the pattern and instructions.

  1. Totally love it! Are you gonna sell a pattern?

  2. Thank you and YES! I'm going to get the pattern into my etsy shop asap. Do you think the spiky things on top of the head should extend all the way down the back?

  3. It seems locking yourself into the studio worked out! I love it.

  4. Awesome! It would be cool if each of the horizontal tucks ended in the peak of a spiky thing going down the back!

  5. Love that! Will you sell any ready-made ones for people who don't sew? Like me?

  6. I love it! It's so great! And would look interesting with dry-brushed inks or paints around the pin-tucked ridges too!

  7. I'm so glad you guys like it! Yes, I think the final design should have spiky things at the points on the back where the tucks are. Yes yes! And I think I would like to make up a couple to sell. And I was thinking sort of along the lines of inks/paints about using thread in a contrasting color to add dimension. And I have 3 more sea life designs in mind. I will need a new bolt of muslin!
