My Huge DIY Antiqued Floor Mirror
What do you think? Big, huh? Mirror tiles, antiqued with muriatic acid, corners snipped with tile snips, screwed with decorative mirror clips (Lowes) onto a big leftover piece of wall panel. 2x2 around the edges. Would you like a tutorial? I guess I just gave you one. Went a little nutty with the antiquing. What do you think? So cheap to make!!!
You can see my plastic cup in the reflection. That's classy.
I love this! I'd like to make one. But bigger :)
ReplyDeleteCurious how one uses muriatic acid. It's quite lovely what you have done, glad to see your new post.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Michelle
Love it!
ReplyDeleteOoo, ooo! I've actually got mirror tiles left from another project, and I have a chiffarobe that needs some help. But said item is composite "wood"; I wonder if it would just shred when the mirror clips were applied?
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI would love to get more information on your mirror. Can you explain the process you used with the muriatic acid? Also, did you glue the mirrors onto the board or just use the clips? Your work is very creative. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteFirst time reader/admirer,
ReplyDeleteLike some posters before me, what steps did you use with the mirror tiles? You skipped over a lot of important details.
Cheers!
